The photos you order from Merlin-Net are printed on Kodak Professional Digital paper, a true photographic paper made specifically for the high-end Kodak printer we use. Our printing paper is a resin-coated, silver halide color paper made to yield superb results with the short exposure times employed in printers driven by digital data, as opposed to the longer exposure times needed for optical print made using an enlarger. The prints are developed in RA-4 chemistry, the industry standard in color labs.

Our photos are the standard thickness for photographic prints, as opposed to the thin paper used in some digital printing processes. We ship the prints to you in heavy-duty cardboard envelopes, never bending or rolling the photos. The lifetime of photographic prints prepared in this manner is expected to be 150 years before a discernible color shift occurs.

For your information, our listed print sizes refer to the measurements of the photographic paper on which our images are printed (i.e. 8"´10" or 11"´14"). We make sure to maximize the size of the actual image on each print, but we maintain the dimensions of the original image the photographer provides us. Because not all photos fit perfectly onto the two print sizes we offer, the size of the white borders around the image will vary.
